BONDS

BONDS by IQOS is Philip Morris’s entry point into the category, and it is aimed squarely at price.

It uses the ROUNDHEAT system — heat applied around the stick rather than through a blade pushed into it — so like ILUMA there is no blade to clean or break, but the device itself costs a fraction of one. The consumables are simpler and cheaper too.

Over a year the consumable price usually outweighs the device price, which is the real case for BONDS over ILUMA. What you give up is the induction system and the TEREA and LEVIA ranges.

Runs BLENDS tobacco and BEYOND tobacco-free sticks. It will not take TEREA.

Which one to start with

Only the finish differs. The decision worth thinking about is BONDS against ILUMA, and it is a running-cost question — work out what you would spend on sticks in a year before comparing device prices.

Price and packaging

Prices in this range run €35. Every device ships in its sealed retail box with the manufacturer’s warranty, charging cable and documentation — we do not sell opened, refurbished or repackaged units.

Compatible sticks

This platform takes BLENDS, BEYOND. Consumables from other systems are a different format and will not seat in the chamber — check before ordering a full box.

Delivery
