TEREA sticks are real-tobacco heated sticks made exclusively for the IQOS ILUMA series, including ILUMA, ILUMA PRIME, ILUMA ONE and ILUMA i models. They use induction heating: a metal susceptor inside the stick is heated by the device, so ILUMA has no blade inside the holder.
The range separates into straightforward tobacco blends, non-capsule Wave variants and Pearl sticks with a capsule. Our TEREA selection includes 26 products, sold as single packs for EUR 7.60 or cartons for EUR 76. TEREA contains nicotine. This product is not risk free and contains nicotine, which is addictive.

What are TEREA sticks?
TEREA is a line of real-tobacco heated sticks designed for the IQOS ILUMA platform. The stick is not heated by a blade. Instead, ILUMA uses induction, and a metal susceptor inside the TEREA stick receives the heat from the device.
That design explains why TEREA exists as a separate line from HEETS. TEREA replaced HEETS when ILUMA arrived, and HEETS and TEREA are not interchangeable. The ILUMA holder has no blade to clean or break, and there is no burnt residue carried between sticks by a blade.
The trade-off is strict compatibility. TEREA fits IQOS ILUMA series devices only. It does not fit IQOS 3 DUO or older blade-based IQOS devices, and it does not fit glo, Ploom or lil SOLID devices. The IQOS ILUMA guide covers the differences between the standard ILUMA, PRIME, ONE and ILUMA i models.
TEREA is real tobacco, not a tobacco-free alternative. Like other nicotine products, it is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not a cessation aid, and it should not be described as safe or harmless.
Which devices can use TEREA?
Use TEREA only with an IQOS ILUMA series device. The compatible family includes IQOS ILUMA, IQOS ILUMA PRIME, IQOS ILUMA ONE and the ILUMA i models.
| Device or platform | TEREA compatibility | Reason or note |
|---|---|---|
| IQOS ILUMA | Yes | Uses induction heating and is made for TEREA. |
| IQOS ILUMA PRIME | Yes | Has the same induction heating and performance as standard ILUMA. |
| IQOS ILUMA ONE | Yes | All-in-one ILUMA device using the same TEREA format. |
| IQOS ILUMA i models | Yes | Part of the ILUMA series. |
| IQOS 3 DUO and older blade-based IQOS | No | These devices use a heated blade. |
| glo, Ploom and lil SOLID | No | Their stick formats are different. |
Do not choose by brand name alone. IQOS sticks do not fit glo, Ploom or lil devices, and those formats do not fit IQOS. For a wider device-by-device check, use the full stick compatibility chart before ordering.

How is the TEREA range split?
There are three useful ways to read the stocked range: plain tobacco and other non-capsule profiles, Wave variants without a capsule, and Pearl variants with a capsule.
Plain tobacco and non-capsule profiles: Amber, Bronze, Russet, Sienna, Silver, Soft Fuse, Teak and Yellow are the clearest tobacco-led choices. Their notes range from soft and dry through woody, nutty, malty and roasted. Ruby Fuse is also non-capsule and non-menthol, with red-berry and soft floral notes. Green, Kelly and Turquoise add mint or menthol without a capsule.
Wave variants: Mauve Wave, Purple Wave, Summer Wave and Zing Wave are non-capsule sticks. They combine tobacco with cooling or fruit, citrus, floral or herbal notes depending on the product. Blue and Kelly are also non-capsule options with a stronger menthol direction, although their names do not include Wave.
Pearl variants: Abora Pearl, Amelia Pearl, Briza Pearl, Oasis Pearl, Provence Pearl, Starling Pearl, Sun Pearl, Tidal Pearl and Twilight Pearl contain a flavour capsule. The capsule is part of the stick, so these are the products to choose when you want a profile that changes or gains an additional note after the capsule is activated.
The flavour descriptions are product-specific. A Pearl name tells you there is a capsule, but it does not tell you that every Pearl tastes the same. The stocked options include menthol, berry, herb, tea, watermelon, malt and other stated notes. Check the individual product description if a particular note matters to you.

What does Pearl mean on a TEREA pack?
In this range, Pearl means the stick contains a flavour capsule. The capsule is not the same as a general menthol label: a TEREA Pearl may have tobacco and other notes before the capsule is activated, then add the stated flavour afterwards.
For example, TEREA Oasis Pearl is described as an even roast with creamy and nutty notes until you click. TEREA Starling Pearl has toasted tobacco and light tea notes, with a capsule adding cooling menthol with strawberry and basil. TEREA Twilight Pearl starts with a heavy malty roast and adds blueberry menthol on the click.
Look for Pearl in the product name when you want a capsule. If the name is Amber, Bronze, Russet, Sienna, Silver, Soft Fuse, Teak, Yellow, Blue, Green, Kelly, Mauve Wave, Purple Wave, Ruby Fuse, Summer Wave, Turquoise or Zing Wave, the stocked product is listed as having no capsule.
A capsule is a preference, not a compatibility feature. Pearl and non-Pearl TEREA sticks use the same ILUMA platform. The deciding question is whether you want a change in flavour during the stick, or one consistent profile from start to finish.
How do the TEREA names help me choose?
The name gives you a useful first filter, but it is not a complete strength scale. Product notes and the stated body and cooling ratings are more informative when comparing two close options.
- Pearl: capsule stick. The stocked Pearl range includes Abora, Amelia, Briza, Oasis, Provence, Starling, Sun, Tidal and Twilight.
- Wave: non-capsule range with cooling and, depending on the product, fruit, citrus, floral or herbal notes. The stocked Wave names are Mauve, Purple, Summer and Zing.
- Classic colour names: names such as Amber, Bronze, Russet, Sienna, Silver, Teak and Yellow identify non-capsule products with different tobacco profiles.
- Menthol-led names: Blue, Green, Kelly and Turquoise are non-capsule options with varying cooling levels.
For the least intense tobacco body in this selection, Silver is rated 1 out of 5 and Summer Wave is also rated 1. At the other end, Abora Pearl, Russet and Twilight Pearl are rated 5 for body. Cooling is separate: Blue, Kelly and Purple Wave are rated 4, while many tobacco-led sticks have no cooling.
Those ratings are a way to compare this catalogue, not a promise that every adult will experience a product identically. If you dislike capsules, exclude every product with Pearl in its name. If you want tobacco without menthol, start with Amber, Bronze, Russet, Sienna, Silver, Soft Fuse, Teak, Yellow or Ruby Fuse.
TEREA flavour guide: what is in stock?
The following is the stocked selection, grouped by the decision most buyers need to make.
| Group | Products | What to expect from the verified notes |
|---|---|---|
| Tobacco-led, no capsule | Amber, Bronze, Russet, Sienna, Silver, Soft Fuse, Teak, Yellow | From soft, dry and mellow tobacco to robust, roasted, woody, nutty and malty profiles. |
| Non-capsule with cooling or flavour notes | Blue, Green, Kelly, Mauve Wave, Purple Wave, Ruby Fuse, Summer Wave, Turquoise, Zing Wave | Menthol, mint, citrus, berries, peach, floral or spicy-herbal notes, depending on the product. |
| Pearl capsule | Abora, Amelia, Briza, Oasis, Provence, Starling, Sun, Tidal, Twilight Pearl | Tobacco-led profiles with a capsule adding the stated cooling, fruit, herb, tea, watermelon or menthol note. |
Some names are easy to confuse. Ruby Fuse has red-berry and floral notes but no menthol and no capsule. Summer Wave has peach, a floral touch and light menthol but no capsule. Tidal Pearl has a capsule, while Teak has no capsule and is described as woody, earthy and lightly spiced.
For a no-capsule line with a deliberately single profile, compare TEREA with our DELIA guide. For a tobacco-free ILUMA option, see the LEVIA guide. Tobacco-free does not mean nicotine-free: LEVIA contains nicotine, as does TEREA.
How should I store TEREA sticks?
Keep TEREA packs and cartons sealed until needed, and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excess heat and moisture. Avoid leaving an opened pack somewhere damp or hot, such as a bathroom, vehicle or windowsill. The aim is to protect the stick and its capsule, where present, from avoidable storage conditions.
Do not transfer sticks between packs if you need to identify a flavour or capsule type later. Keep Pearl products in their original packaging so the name remains clear. This also prevents a non-capsule and capsule stick from being mistaken for one another.
There is no single freshness period stated in the supplied product information. Check the packaging for any date or storage instruction, and use the pack in accordance with that information. A damaged, unsealed or visibly compromised pack is not one to treat as fresh simply because it is still inside a carton.
TEREA cartons contain multiple single packs, while individual packs are available when you want to test a flavour before committing to a carton. Our listed price is EUR 7.60 for a single pack and EUR 76 for a carton.
Should I buy TEREA cartons or single packs?
Buy a single pack when you are testing a new profile, capsule format or cooling level. Buy a carton when you already know the exact TEREA product you want and use the ILUMA platform regularly. The single-pack price is EUR 7.60, while the carton price is EUR 76.
The price difference alone is not a reason to choose a flavour you may dislike. A carton of nine Pearl sticks is still the wrong purchase if you wanted a consistent non-capsule profile, and a carton of a mild tobacco blend will not suit someone specifically looking for strong cooling.
For a practical first choice, decide in this order: confirm that your device is an ILUMA series model; decide whether you want a capsule; choose tobacco-only, cooling or flavour notes; then compare body and cooling ratings. This avoids the common mistake of selecting by colour or name while overlooking the capsule and compatibility information.
TEREA is not interchangeable with other stick lines. If your device is not an IQOS ILUMA model, this line is not worth buying for you, regardless of the flavour description.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use TEREA sticks in IQOS 3 DUO?
No. TEREA sticks are made for IQOS ILUMA series devices, while IQOS 3 DUO and older IQOS models use a heated blade. TEREA and HEETS are not interchangeable. TEREA also does not fit glo, Ploom or lil SOLID devices.
Do all TEREA sticks have a capsule?
No. Only products with Pearl in the name contain a capsule in this stocked range. Amber, Blue, Bronze, Green, Kelly, Mauve Wave, Purple Wave, Ruby Fuse, Russet, Sienna, Silver, Soft Fuse, Summer Wave, Teak, Turquoise, Yellow and Zing Wave are listed without capsules.
What is the difference between TEREA Pearl and TEREA Wave?
TEREA Pearl sticks contain a flavour capsule, while the stocked TEREA Wave products are non-capsule sticks. Pearl variants include Abora, Amelia, Briza, Oasis, Provence, Starling, Sun, Tidal and Twilight. Wave variants include Mauve, Purple, Summer and Zing.
Are TEREA sticks tobacco-free?
No. TEREA sticks contain real tobacco and are made for the IQOS ILUMA induction platform. They contain nicotine. The tobacco-free lines in the catalogue are separate products, and tobacco-free does not mean nicotine-free.
How much do TEREA sticks cost?
A single TEREA pack costs EUR 7.60 and a TEREA carton costs EUR 76. Choose a single pack when testing a flavour, and choose a carton when you already know the exact product suits your preference and device.
How should I store TEREA cartons?
Keep TEREA cartons and packs sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Keep Pearl products in their original packaging so the capsule range remains identifiable. Check the packaging for any date or storage instruction.
Which TEREA stick is strongest?
Among the stocked products, Abora Pearl, Russet and Twilight Pearl have the highest listed body rating of 5 out of 5. Cooling is a separate measure: Blue, Kelly and Purple Wave have the highest listed cooling rating of 4 out of 5.
Can I buy TEREA as a single pack?
Yes. TEREA single packs are listed at EUR 7.60, and cartons are listed at EUR 76. A single pack is the more practical choice when you want to test whether a tobacco, menthol, Wave or Pearl profile suits you before buying a carton.
