NEO and Kent are real-tobacco stick lines made for the glo HYPER platform, but they suit different preferences: NEO offers more variation, while Kent keeps the range deliberately conservative. Neither line works with glo Hilo, IQOS ILUMA, Ploom or lil SOLID devices.
NEO includes tobacco-led, cooling, mint, berry and capsule options across nine stocked products. Kent has three products, with no fruit profiles and only one capsule option. Every carton on this page costs EUR 68. The choice is therefore mainly about profile and format, not price.

What is the difference between NEO and Kent?
Both NEO and Kent are real-tobacco sticks for the glo HYPER platform. They are not tobacco-free nicotine products. The main difference is range design.
NEO is the broader line. Its stocked range covers tobacco profiles, cooling options, mint, berry notes and products with different levels of cooling. NEO Blue has the strongest listed cooling level, while NEO Classic Tobacco and NEO Terracotta Tobacco are among the fuller-bodied options in the catalogue.
Kent is more restrained. Kent Cloud Blue and Kent Royal Blue have no capsule, no cooling score listed above zero, and no fruit profiles. Kent Emerald Green is the exception: it carries a capsule and has a refreshing mint profile. This gives Kent a simpler decision for someone who wants a tobacco stick without a broad range of fruit-led choices.
Both lines cost EUR 68 per carton in our catalogue. You are choosing the range, not paying more for one brand.
Which NEO profile should you choose?
NEO splits into three useful groups: tobacco-led profiles, cooling or mint profiles, and profiles with berry or other added notes. The catalogue descriptions and cooling scores help narrow the choice, although they do not replace personal preference.
- Tobacco-led: NEO Classic Tobacco has a listed body score of 4 and no cooling. NEO Gold Tobacco has a body score of 3 and no cooling. NEO Terracotta Tobacco has a body score of 4 and no cooling. NEO Cooper Tobacco is lighter at a body score of 2 and is described with mild tobacco alongside delicate fruity and herbal accents.
- Cooling and mint: NEO Blue has a cooling score of 5 and is described as crisp spearmint with a powerful cooling effect. NEO Green has a cooling score of 3 and combines light tobacco with refreshing sweet mint. NEO Summer has a cooling score of 1.
- Berry or mixed notes: NEO Scarlet combines refined tobacco with bright berry notes, while NEO Violet combines refined tobacco with vibrant wild berry notes. Both have a cooling score of 0 or 1 respectively.
NEO products do not have a capsule in the stocked range listed for this page. The wider NEO line is described as having some capsule profiles, so check the individual product information before ordering a specific variant. Browse the complete neo range when you need to compare the nine stocked products in one place.
Why choose Kent instead?
Kent is the more conservative choice for glo HYPER. The line has three stocked products and no fruit profiles. That matters if you are moving from cigarettes and want to avoid a range built around berry or other clearly flavoured profiles.
Kent Royal Blue has the highest listed body score in the Kent range, at 4, with no cooling and no capsule. Kent Cloud Blue has a body score of 3, also with no cooling and no capsule. Kent Emerald Green has a body score of 2, a cooling score of 3, and a capsule. Its verified product note describes a refreshing mint flavour.
The capsule is the key difference within the Kent range. If you want the simplest Kent format, choose between Cloud Blue and Royal Blue. If you specifically want a mint option with a capsule, Emerald Green is the relevant product. The kent category page lists the available variants.
Kent does not promise a cigarette-like experience, and no product should be treated as a cessation aid. It is simply the less varied of the two tobacco ranges covered here. For a buyer coming straight off cigarettes who wants to avoid fruit profiles, that narrower choice may be useful.

The individual NEO products stocked for this guide are NEO Blue, NEO Classic Tobacco, NEO Cooper Tobacco, NEO Gold Tobacco, NEO Green, NEO Scarlet, NEO Summer, NEO Terracotta Tobacco and NEO Violet. The Kent products are Kent Cloud Blue, Kent Emerald Green and Kent Royal Blue.
All of these products are intended for the glo HYPER platform. The catalogue identifies NEO as working with the glo HYPER platform and Kent as working with the glo HYPER platform. The product line, not just the brand name, determines whether a stick fits your device.
Will these sticks fit glo Hilo?
No. NEO and Kent are glo HYPER-platform sticks, while glo Hilo uses a different current platform. They are not interchangeable.
glo Hilo heats sticks in a chamber and uses a wider, shorter chamber shape than ILUMA. Hilo reaches temperature faster and runs a shorter, more concentrated session than Hyper. Those platform differences are reflected in the stick shapes, so a HYPER stick should not be treated as a Hilo stick.
glo Hyper Pro is discontinued and is no longer sold. If you own a glo Hilo or are choosing a current glo device, look at glo Hilo and Hilo Plus: Device Guide first. The Hilo-compatible stick lines in this catalogue are VIRTO, which contains real tobacco, and RIVO, which is tobacco-free.
For Hilo stick choices, our VEO and VIRTO: glo Sticks Compared guide explains where VIRTO sits, while the RIVO Sticks Guide: Tobacco-Free Range for glo Hilo covers the tobacco-free option. Tobacco-free does not mean nicotine-free: RIVO contains nicotine.
How glo HYPER compares with other devices
NEO and Kent are not universal heated sticks. IQOS stick formats do not fit glo, Ploom or lil devices, and glo formats do not fit IQOS, Ploom or lil devices. The same rule applies in the other direction.
IQOS ILUMA uses induction, with a metal susceptor inside the stick, and accepts TEREA, DELIA and LEVIA. Those products are for the IQOS ILUMA series only. TEREA replaced HEETS when ILUMA arrived, and HEETS and TEREA are not interchangeable.
Ploom devices use a different stick format and work with EVO or LYO, while lil SOLID devices use the shorter FIIT format. BONDS by IQOS uses ROUNDHEAT and works with BLENDS or BEYOND. None of these alternatives should be ordered for a glo HYPER device.
If you are unsure which device and stick combination you have, use Which Sticks Fit Which Device: Full Compatibility Chart before buying. Compatibility is the first decision. Profile preference only matters after the stick is confirmed for the device.
Nicotine, tobacco and EU flavour rules
NEO and Kent contain real tobacco. They are heated-tobacco products and contain nicotine. The required warning wording is: “This product is not risk free and contains nicotine, which is addictive.” These products are for adults aged 18 and over only.
EU Directive 2022/2100 applies from 23 October 2023 and bans characterising flavours in heated tobacco products across the EU. The directive covers heated tobacco products. Tobacco-free nicotine sticks sit under different national rules, which vary by member state. This distinction does not make tobacco-free sticks nicotine-free: LEVIA, RIVO, VEO, LYO and BEYOND all contain nicotine.
Product descriptions in this guide use the verified catalogue notes for the stocked lines. They are not medical claims, safety claims or advice to stop smoking. Neither NEO nor Kent is a safe, healthy or harmless product, and neither is a cessation aid.
The practical decision is straightforward: select NEO if you want the wider set of tobacco, mint, cooling and berry profiles. Select Kent if you want a smaller range without fruit profiles, with Emerald Green as the mint capsule exception. Confirm that your device is glo HYPER before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Do NEO sticks work with glo Hilo?
No. NEO sticks are made for the glo HYPER platform, not glo Hilo. Hilo uses a different current glo platform and different stick format. Do not use NEO in a Hilo device. Hilo owners should look at VIRTO or RIVO instead, and should confirm the device and stick pairing before ordering.
Do Kent sticks work with glo Hilo?
No. Kent sticks are for the glo HYPER platform and are not compatible with glo Hilo. The two glo platforms use different chamber and stick formats. glo Hyper Pro is discontinued, so it is not a current device option. For Hilo, consider the Hilo-compatible VIRTO and RIVO lines instead.
Are NEO and Kent tobacco-free?
No. NEO and Kent are real-tobacco heated sticks. They are different from tobacco-free nicotine lines such as VEO, RIVO and LEVIA. Tobacco-free does not mean nicotine-free, but that distinction does not apply to NEO and Kent because both lines contain real tobacco.
Which NEO stick has the strongest cooling?
NEO Blue has the highest listed cooling score in the stocked NEO range, at 5 out of 5. It is described as a crisp spearmint experience with a powerful cooling effect. NEO Green has a cooling score of 3, while NEO Summer and NEO Violet have lower listed cooling scores.
Does Kent have a capsule option?
Yes. Kent Emerald Green is the capsule option among the three Kent products stocked for this guide. It has a listed cooling score of 3 and a verified note describing a refreshing mint flavour. Kent Cloud Blue and Kent Royal Blue have no capsule.
Which is better for someone moving straight from cigarettes, NEO or Kent?
Kent may suit someone who wants a deliberately conservative range without fruit profiles, while NEO suits someone who wants more choice. Kent Cloud Blue and Kent Royal Blue have no capsule, and Kent Emerald Green is the mint capsule exception. This is a preference decision, not medical or cessation advice.
How much do NEO and Kent cartons cost?
Both NEO and Kent cartons cost EUR 68 in the catalogue. NEO has nine stocked products and Kent has three, but the carton price is the same. Check the individual product listing for the exact variant before ordering, and confirm that your device is on the glo HYPER platform.
Can I use NEO or Kent in an IQOS, Ploom or lil device?
No. NEO and Kent are glo HYPER sticks and are not interchangeable with IQOS, Ploom or lil formats. IQOS ILUMA, Ploom and lil SOLID use their own compatible stick lines. No stick in this catalogue works in blade-based IQOS 3 DUO or older devices, either.
